Helping Alberta students be seen — and stay safe 

The AMA Community Foundation shares that commitment. This year, we’re working with school divisions across the province to provide a reflective keychain to every Kindergarten to Grade 6 student in Alberta. 

It’s a small item with a simple purpose: helping kids be seen. 

How school divisions can help 

To reach students in communities across Alberta, we’re asking school divisions to help with a few simple coordination details. 

We’re asking you to: 

• Confirm the number of K–6 students in participating schools. 

• Provide a delivery location for distribution. 

• Identify a contact person to assist with coordination. 

That’s it—we’ll take care of the rest. 

Together, we can help kids travel safely 

Student safety takes all of us—families, schools, drivers, communities, and partners working together. While there is no single solution, visibility is one practical way we can help support safer travel during Alberta’s darker mornings and evenings. 

A reflective keychain is easy to use, easy to share, and can help start important conversations about safe travel habits. More than that, it’s a visible reminder that Alberta communities care about the safety and well-being of their children.
